The Ardell Group Appoints Karina Shaver to President - Hires New VP of Business Development to Drive Strategic Growth
Del Mar, Calif. - February 8, 2005 - The Ardell Group, a full-service, technology public relations firm, today announced the promotion of Karina Shaver to president. Shaver, who previously served as the company's executive vice president, is tasked with building worldwide strategic partnerships, spearheading operational initiatives and overseeing client service programs.

Since joining The Ardell Group in 1995, Shaver has held several positions including vice president, managing director, and a number of client management roles. She has served as the strategic PR lead for clients ranging from early-stage start-ups to well-established technology leaders such as 3Com, National Semiconductor, Finisar and AMCC. Her technical articles have been published in electronic trade publications such as Electronic News, EE Times, Network World and Wireless Design & Development. Further, Shaver is a strong advocate for mentoring programs, and serves on the advisory board of a women's philanthropic organization at University of California San Diego, where she earned her bachelor's degree.

Vaughn is a 20-year business development veteran for a wide range of technology, consumer and business-to-business clients. Vaughn is responsible for marketing outreach and developing future client and partner relationships for The Ardell Group.

Vaughn studied at the University of Cincinnati and is currently a proactive advocate for the Casa de Amistad, a study program for Hispanic children in San Diego. She also supports Arc Hamilton County and Athletes in Action International.
